Launching of the APC Centenary
On the Feast of St. Paul (June 30, 2017), the Pauline Family in Luzon gathered at Mary, Queen of Apostles Sanctuary in Pasay City to celebrate the launching of the Centenary Year of the Association of the Pauline Cooperators (APC) with the theme ‘Wake Up the World with the Light of the Gospel’. The Holy Eucharist was presided by Fr. Joe Aripio, SSP who shared about the significance and valuable ministry of the lay members of James Alberione's big family. The different representatives of the APC took turns as lectors and offerers during the Mass with the APC-FDM and PDDM as choir. There was a short program and agape after Mass where the APC's and the other members of the Pauline Family had an opportunity to get to know each other.
Meanwhile, simultaneously in Cebu City, the Pauline Family also gathered at the Divine Master Chapel for the same celebration with Fr. Noel Magbanua, SSP as presider. One APC from the Daughters of St. Paul made her promise and the other Cooperators and FDM's had their renewal of promise. This ocassion was made even more special with the awarding of a Plaque of Appreciation to Beatrice Abestroz (tita Beth) who was the first PIC (Person in Charge) of APC-FSP and who also marked her centennial birth anniversary last January.
On the same day, the members of the Pauline Family gathered together in the Divine Master Convent Chapel, Davao City for the same celebration. The Eucharistic Celebration was presided Fr. Rene Taneza, SSP. Simple salo-salo followed after the celebration.
Indeed, God is infinitely rich in grace. We, as Pauline Family, thank God and celebrate with joy for the life, charism and ministry of the Association of Pauline Cooperators.
