A Tribute to the Bishops

On November 23, 2017, four of our PDDM Sisters (Sr. M. Anthony, Sr. M. Leticia, Sr. M. Magdalene, Sr. M. Benedict) attended in Makati a tribute to the Bishops as partners of Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) – Philippines.  It was through the kindness of Ambassador Joel Cuisia, Jr. that our sisters were able to witness this event. In such event, the President of ACN-Philippines expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported ACN’s advocacy and also for the support of the Bishops. The Bishop of Marawi, Most Rev. Edwin Dela Peña also shared his gratitude especially to the Redemptorist Missionaries and the Pontifical foundation Aid to the Church in Need who committed to help in the project of the Prelature of Marawi. The good Bishop also encouraged the assembly to support “Duyog Marawi”, a program committed to rebuild Marawi and dreamed to be a main convener of initiatives for interfaith and interreligious dialogues for peace. This occasion was also graced by the presence of the newly-elected President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines, Archbishop Romulo Valles and the new Papal Nuncio Gabriele Giordano Caccia.  The Sisters had the opportunity to share light moments with the New Papal Nuncio and his secretary Msgr. Gabriel Viola during this blessed occasion.
