Year of Pauline Vocations Launched

The Pauline Year for Vocations was officially launched yesterday (January 27, 2019) in the Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Pasay City. The Eucharistic celebration at 5 o’clock in the afternoon was presided by Rev. Fr. Jose Aripio, Provincial Superior of the Society of St. Paul, and concelebrating with him were some priests from the Society of St. Paul.  This occasion was also graced by the presence of the two General councilors of the Society of St. Paul – Rev. Fr. Jose Pottayil and Bro. Darlei Zanon. The homilist during the Holy Eucharist was Rev. Fr. Eric Mark Salamat, SSP vocation promoter. Fr. Emark introduced the members of the Pauline family to the whole assembly and underlined that though each has different roles and ministries, we still are one family. The assembly that gathered was mostly members of the Pauline family who also brought with them some vocations and young people. The parishioners of Our Lady of Sorrows were also present and had shared the joy of the celebration with the Pauline family.

 The unveiling of the Logo of the Pauline Year for vocations was done towards the end of the Eucharistic celebration. Representatives from different congregations of the Pauline Family took the honor to present the Logo to the public. Rev. Fr. Khris Llacer, coordinator of the Pastoral care for Vocation in the Pauline Family in the Philippines, explained the meaning of the logo which was designed by Rev. Fr. Ulysses Navarro, SSP. After the holy mass, there was also a simple sharing of meal and viewing of some vocational materials placed at the tent outside the church.
