ECHOING MARY'S "YES" AMIDST CRISIS
As we hail Mary for her "yes" on the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord--March 25, 2021, we also praise God for the anniversary of religious profession of our sisters which we celebrated at Divine Master Convent in Antipolo City.
The sister-jubilarians: Sr. M. Angela Escoto and Sr. M. Scholastica Malate (60th), Sr. M. Florence Raba (50th) and Sr. M. Clemens Leyva (40th) renewed their Vows within a Eucharistic celebration presided by Most Rev. Nolly Buco, Auxilliary Bishop of Antipolo with concelebrating priests--Rev. Fr. Guido Everaert, CICM and Rev. Fr. Paul Vincent Octubre, SSP.
In his homily, Bishop Buco thanked the sister-jubilarians for offering their life in service to God's people despite the indifference of some who consider religious vocation irrelevant in today's civil society. He invited them to keep the joy as they witness to God's love and the beauty of this vocation.
Amidst the pandemic, the community at the Divine Master Convent together with Sr. M. Anthony Basa, Provincial Superior join the sister-jubilarians in thanking God for Mary who constantly prays for the disciples of her Son, Jesus to remain faithful and fruitful in God's loving service. The community observed the necessary safety protocols during the celebration.
Early on, the sisters had their formative sessions with Sr. M. Anthony Basa last March 18-22, 2021 at Holy Spirit Retreat House in Quezon City. May the renewal of commitment they made unfold daily and inspire more vocations to religious life.
