Celebrating Mission and Collaboration

As the Disciples of the Divine Master commemorated the anniversary of their definitive approval as a congregation, the PDDM Lay Mission Collaborators (PLMC) also celebrated their 22nd year of foundation in the Philippines last August 30, 2021.

Although the present pandemic did not allow everyone to join the celebration, the sisters still recognized the need to give thanks to God for what we have at hand especially the gift of persons, continuing mission and collaboration.

There were simultaneous celebrations in different PDDM communities namely, in Antipolo, Manila, Quezon City, Davao and Cebu. The sisters in charge of the PLMC in every community organized the activities adopting the prescribed common segments such as the video homily of Most Rev. Socrates Villegas, Archbishop of the Lingayen-Dagupan, which served as springboard for their group sharing; and the renewal of the PLMC Promise.

The gathering in each community, which strictly observed safety and health protocols, culminated with the giving away of tokens of gratitude and the partaking of food prepared by the sisters.

This yearly gathering is the congregation’s simple expression of gratitude and appreciation of the presence and collaboration of the PLMC.
